Inpatient Rehabilitation
Located on the 5th floor of the hospital, our all private, 20-bed rehabilitation unit is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International.
What does accreditation by CARF mean to our patients?
This accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows our hospital's substantial conformance to the CARF standards. Receiving a Three-Year Accreditation demonstrates to a team of surveyors our commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
By pursuing and achieving accreditation, Merit Health Natchez Inpatient Rehab has demonstrated that it meets international standards for quality and is committed to pursuing excellence.
The rehabilitation unit offers patients benefits such as:
- Close medical supervision by a physician with specialized training and experience in rehabilitation and medical management
- Immediate access to all medical testing and services offered in acute care
- 24-hour rehabilitation nursing
- A minimum of 3 hours of intensive therapy a day, five days a week
- Interdisciplinary team approach provided by skilled, professionals - including weekly team conferences to develop an individualized plan of care for each patient
- Discharge planning/placement
- Family/caregiver training
- Equipment needs assessment and procurement
