MHN Names Clinical and Non Clinical Managers of the Year

Carrie Coleman and Jason Lynch Honored as 2017 Managers of the Year
NATCHEZ, Miss. –February 6, 2018 — Merit Health Natchez has named Carrie Coleman, Director of Surgical Services and Jason Lynch, Director of Facilities Management as Clinical and Non-Clinical Managers, respectively, for 2017. These awards are the highest honors bestowed on a hospital manager each year, and they were chosen from approximately 30 managers for these honors.
“Health care requires a special blend of great people skills, tireless energy and the ability to work well under pressure,” says Eric Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of Merit Health Natchez. “People who work in health care share the common desire to help others and make a difference in people’s lives. It’s a pleasure to recognize Carrie and Jason for their dedication to our patients and employees and to providing outstanding care and leadership.”
Managers are nominated for the award based on their commitment to patient care, their professionalism, and their contributions on the job.
Carrie has worked has worked for Merit Health Natchez since December of 2010 as the Director of Surgical Services. “Carrie always puts patient safety first, and this quality is recognized by her staff, anesthesia services and surgeons who work with her on a daily basis,” said Lee Hinson, Chief Nursing Officer at Merit Health Natchez. “She supports an environment of accountability which promotes the culture of patient safety first.”
Jason was hired as the Director of Plant Operations in February 2016, and his accomplishments in overseeing the general daily maintenance issues, as well as the regulatory requirements involving the environment of care, have been remarkable. “Jason and his team have a hand in every single improvement and upgrade to our hospital’s infrastructure, and his leadership and knowledge are invaluable to our hospital’s success,” said Amy Campbell, Assistant Administrator and Compliance Officer for Merit Health Natchez.
