Promoting good health through education and attention to lifestyle is a focus of Merit Health Natchez. The Alzheimer’s Support Group
This group is available for caregivers of those suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia. It provides a safe place for caregivers, as well as family and friends, to meet and develop a mutual support system. This group is led by Marc Taylor, a Licensed, Professional Counselor and the Program Director of our Behavioral Health Services. This group meets the second Thursday of each month from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Call 601-443-2131 or 601-443-2365 for more information.
Childbirth Workshops
The birth of a baby is an exciting and life-changing experience. At Merit Health Natchez, we are committed to helping you during this special time through quality maternity care, and special programs and support. Our family-centered approach helps you understand as much as possible about the physical and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. The labor support partner is strongly encouraged to attend. These classes are scheduled as needed. Call 601-443-2387 for more information on our classes offered.
Diabetic Support Group
The diabetic support group provides educational, social, and emotional support for people dealing with diabetes. This group meets the third Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m., with the exception of no meeting in the month of December. Call 601-443-2442 for more information.
Diabetic Class
This class is a basic diabetic class covering information on diabetes and is great for the newly diagnosed diabetic or anyone interested in learning more about diabetes either for them or a family member. This class is offered the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Call 601-443-2442.
